A PEEK AT OUR  WORKSHOPS!

Watercolor: Inside & Out
May - Sept
Saturdays
June 20, July 25 and August 15, 2009
9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Standing in the middle of a stream or at the most scenic viewpoint from the freeway isn't recommended for long painting sessions. You can, however, learn to sketch, photo and train your visual memory.

In this workshop you take photos and sketches on location with Michele, then go back to the studio at KAC and develop them into paintings.
Get tips on using your digital camera as a sketching tool.

The one-day format provides adequate time for personal painting, group critiques and one-on-one instruction. Subscribing to one Saturday per month allows you to practice at home, then bring work for critique at the next session.

Prerequisite: Watercolor experience. Returning students welcome for continued study. Supply list provided.

Clock hours available for  this class through
Cascadia Community College

PAINTING ON LOCATION --- July 17, 2010

Lavender Hills Farm, Marysville, WA

FLOWERS --- TBA
Michele will demonstrate and lecture on how to simplify a bouquet of floral shapes, use flowers as subject matter, gather reference material at a local flower market and use your palette to explore color. Students will receive individualized attention while painting from live floral setups.  A fun, yet productive atmosphere, group critiques, and helpful handouts will be provided. All this in the comfort of the indoor studio!

While watercolor will be the medium used for instruction, students may use acrylic, if preferred.
